We went camping last weekend and I wanted something to snack on other than plain ol’ chips from the bag. I found this Ranch Chex Mix recipe from Budget Savvy Diva and it looked super good so I adapted it for our needs. This recipe is so good! Mr. MK said it’s the best homemade snack mix he has ever had! Even better it is super easy to make!!
I adapted the recipe a little from Budget Savvy Diva’s version. Just because of personal preference, I decided to roast my mix in the oven rather than to mix and be done.
Making the Ranch Check Mix
This Ranch Chex Mix is super easy to make! First dump all the ingredients in a bowl and stir VERY well. This is very important so the oil covers all the ingredients and helps spread that yummy ranch seasoning.
Second, spread the Ranch Chex Mix out evenly between two cookie sheets, or three if you have smaller cookie sheets. Spreading it evenly is important so it cooks evenly.
Lastly, cook the Ranch Chex Mix in the oven at 250 degrees for 45 minutes. Take the mix out and stir every 15 minutes to ensure that it cooks evenly. That’s it! So easy! Now you have a delicious snack mix that changes things up a bit from chips in a bag.
