I don’t know about you, but we love pizza in our house! We also love quesadillas. So of course we had to put the two together! Today, I am sharing one of our favorite lunches or quick dinners, a pizza quesadilla. They are super easy to make and we usually have the ingredients on hand if we need a dinner on the fly.
What you need to make Pizza Quesadilla
Kitchen Items
- Panini Press or Griddler (we use this one and love it) or if you are better than me at flipping large things in a frying pan, a large frying pan
Ingredients
- Taco Shells
- Pizza Sauce (whatever is your favorite or in a pinch I have used tomato sauce and added Italian seasoning with some minced garlic)
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Your favorite pizza toppings. We use pepperoni in our house.
Directions
These pizza quesadillas are super easy to make!! First add sauce to one side of your tortilla. Next add a small layer of cheese. Then add your toppings. Finally, add one more layer of cheese. I like to sandwich the toppings in the two layers of cheese to help the quesadilla stick together better.
Once you have your toppings in, simply grill it in your panini press and cook until the cheese is melted and tortilla is browned. With our panini maker we have found a quick searing at a high heat works the best. It browns the outside, and gives the cheese just enough time to melt before it becomes a gooey mess. And here is the finished product! A yummy pizza quesadilla!
If you make these let me know what you think! We love them in our house.

Notes
To make this slightly healthier, you could use whole grain tortillas.
